What exactly is required to use The Grow Room's automation equipment?

The Grow Room's automation equipment requires a minimum of:

  1. The Grow Room software licensed with Sensors or Sensors and Controls

  2. At least 1 System box (what sensors plug into and what plugs into your computer)

  3. At least 1 Sensor that the System box supports.

Is The Grow Room legal to use?

Unfortunately it is impossible for Hydroman Software to know the governing laws everywhere in the world. And unfortunately Cannabis and/or growing Cannabis is still illegal in many parts of the world. Hydroman Software does not condone breaking the law in any degree. Therefore it is up to the end user of The Grow Room to know the laws and follow them accordingly before installing and using The Grow Room.

Why are the products shipped without retail packaging?

We do not use retail packaging for 2 reasons. The first being cost, a cost that is completely unnecessary that would end up being passed onto the end consumer. Packaging that in the end would just be thrown away. Our products are not sold in retail stores and this means a huge savings to our customers. In addition, we are a green company and therefore feel this approach also helps eliminate excess waste that in most cases is not biodegradable (i.e. plastic packaging).

We do want to point out that this policy does not change how well we package our products for shipping. We always make sure your products are shipped without damage and in most cases, with biodegradable materials.

How do I know if an item is available?

All items that have a "Buy Now" button are available. Items that are back ordered will be noted near the "Buy Now" button. A back ordered item is one that is not currently available and may take more than 7 days to become available. Any item that is back ordered can take up to 45 days to receive. Unfortunately waiting until an item is not back ordered can put you at the end of an ever rotating list. Which basically means...if you want the item, order it. Once it becomes available again all orders will be filled on a first come first serve basis. If we forsee any delays that could put the item's availability to greater than 45 days from your order date, we will contact you immediately to let you know, at which point you can cancel your order or continue to wait. In almost all cases though, your item should arrive within 10 days from the order date including items on temporary back order.

If all of your items are not available to ship at one time we will contact you to let you know what is available and what is on back order. At this time you can decide to wait until all items are available before we ship them out, or pay separate shipping fees for each set of items shipped. We suggest simply waiting since in most cases, it won't take long before all items are available and being sent (and yes, we actually do set aside the ones that are available at the time with your name on them). In addition, in most cases, you need all the items to assemble your complete system so getting some of them sooner than others may provide no advantage over paying additional shipping fees.

How do you ship your items?

All items are shipped via UPS or USPS depending on size, weight and your location. In either case a tracking number will be provided to you as soon as we have it. Items that are available are shipped out within 2 business days. Items that are not currently available and are not on back order take approximately 5 business days to ship out. Shipping boxes are plain, unmarked boxes for general shipping.

What locations will you ship to?

Although The Grow Room can be bought anywhere in the world, the hardware cannot. At this time we only ship to addresses in the United States that are located in North America (excluding Alaska) and can be shiped to with tracking via UPS or USPS. In part this is because we currently do not support European standards for electrical outlets or European requirements for selling equipment powered by AC outlets. In addition, shipping outside of the US also has import/export complications. However, if we're ever provided the opportunity to open a manufacturing facility in Europe in order to expand our proudcts to the European market...we'll definitely do so.

Do you have a warranty for your products?

All of our items go through vigorous testing throughout the assembly process including final testing on all completed products. We simply won't send out an item until we've made sure it works correctly (saves both of us time and money). However, even with quality control there will always be a very small percentage of components that can fail out in the field that couldn't be identified during testing. All products, except the pH probes and TDS probes, carry a 1 year limited warranty against material and workmanship. This warranty only covers the product for repair or replacement. It does not cover incidental or consequential damages since all of our products are expected to be used in conditions that are not ideal for electrical equipment. It also does not cover the cost for you to ship the item back to us or to ship it back to you if the product is not found to be defectve. Please contact us prior to shipping anything back since items shipped to us without prior approval will be disposed of.

Are your products UL approved?

Most of the hardware we sell operates on 3.5v - 5v DC at less than 500mA (1/2 an Amp) which is basically what comes out of a USB port. Meaning if it was running and you placed it in some water while your hand was holding the device...it would just cause it to burn out the device (or your USB port). These low voltage devices generally do not require UL approval because they pose little to no harm to an individual. However, we do also sell control boxes that switch AC power which is potentially harmful or lethal. Although many of the components have some form of approval, the entire assembly is not UL approved. This is a situation where the cost for UL approval (which would be passed on to the end consumer) does not justify the benefit it would have on the few users that actually require it (usually for insurance purposes). This does not mean the products cannot pass UL approval, it is just too costly to do so (and a perpetual cost for continued UL approval). For users that actually require it, you can contact the UL organization and pay to have a one time inspection done on your entire setup (including the control boxes). Assuming you pass, this is acceptable for insurance companies insuring large commercial setups.

What is your return policy?

We do not offer returns on our products for a multitude of reasons. Keeping costs down for everyone being the number one. We feel returns occur for 2 main reasons, the first being impulsive buyers that do not take the time to carefully consider their requirements (i.e. I got something that doesn't work the way I thought it would) or buyers that have buyers remorse after the fact. Both of these reasons should not cost other buyers more for their items. We of course still stand behind our products with a full 1 year warranty on most items.

So if you are not sure about your purchase, please Contact Us first with any questions you may have or thoroughly research your requirements before making any purchases. Doing this will benefit everyone with continued low prices for our poduct line.
