Humidity Monitor Humidity (and Air Temperature) Levels

The Grow Room can monitor up to 5 humidity sensors per project showing variations or averages. All humidity sensors contain an internal temperature sensor that is also available inside The Grow Room. Precise humidity is critical for optimal growth. Humidity levels too low will cause irreparable damage or death. Humidity levels too high will cause reduced growth or stalled growth.

Soil Moisture Monitor Soil Moisture Levels

The Grow Room can monitor up to 16 soil moisture sensors per project. An absolute must for growers that use soil. Knowing and maintaining proper moisture levels is critical for optimal growth. Use to determine when to water and how much to water. It can also provide critical information like poor drainage existing if moisture levels are constantly too high.

pH Monitor Nutrient Supply Water's pH Levels

The Grow Room can monitor up to 2 pH sensors per project showing variation or average. All pH sensors can be used with or without a control box. Precise pH levels are critical for optimal growth. pH levels too low or too high will cause various nutrients to become unavailable resulting in irreparable damage or death.

TDS/EC Monitor Nutrient Supply Water's TDS/EC Levels

The Grow Room can monitor up to 2 TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) / EC (Electrical Conductivity) sensors per project showing variation or average. All TDS/EC sensors can be used with or without a control box. Precise TDS/EC levels are critical for optimal growth. TDS/EC levels too low or too high will cause nutrient deficiencies or over fertilization resulting in irreparable damage or death.

CO2 Monitor Environmental CO2 Levels

Enhancing your system with CO2 has consistently shown increased growth levels. CO2 is critical for optimal growth, whether it is naturally occurring or supplied for increased CO2 levels...plants need CO2 to grow. The Grow Room can monitor up to 1 CO2 sensor per project.

Motion - Mini Monitor for Motion

The mini motion detector is 1 of several Threshold sensors. It is compact in size at about 1.5" long and 0.5" in diameter. It can be used to trigger a multitude of devices that are connected to one of the control boxes including alerting you via local PC or SMS. The Grow Room can monitor up to 5 Threshold sensors per project.

Threshold Measure a Yes/No True/False Condition

Threshold sensors are sensors that trigger a Yes/True condition when the sensor passes a certain level and a No/False condition otherwise. The Grow Room can monitor up to 5 Threshold sensors per project. Examples of threshold sensors that are supported and available are

Water Flow This threshold sensor differs from the other water/fluid flow sensor in that it only senses if water is flowing and does not measure the actual amount of water that is flowing. This would be more applicable to a drainage pipe that needs to be monitored for possible obstructions.

Light Intensity (LUX) Measure Light Levels

Measuring the amount of light actually being provided (i.e. not just if light exists like most other light sensors do), can help take the guess work out of the question "Do I have enough light?". The Grow Room supports up to 2 light sensors per project (using the double light intensity sensor) which can also provide difference information that answers questions like "When do I add side lighting? What is the penetration capability of my lights? How much light does the edge of the area receive vs. the center?".

Barometric Pressure (Air Pressure) Measure Surrounding Air Pressure

Air pressure fluctuates depending on altitude and weather. For individuals needing to do cross correlation analysis between two locations that signficantly differ in altitude or weather. Air pressure can change exactly how much a plant will transpire and the rate at which gases are exchanged. This has been scientifically documented and therefore is included in The Grow Room's sensor selection. The Grow Room supports up to 1 Air Pressure sensor per project.

Distance Measure Distances Between the Sensor and an Object

Measuring the distance between objects provides a means to automate light position vs plant height by creating a rule to raise or lower a light (via motor/chain). Or just to alert you when your plants may be too close to the light (and you manually reposition the light). This provides a means to supply the plants with maximum benefit of the light being produced. Since you create the rules, there is no reason to be limited to just these particular applications. The Grow Room supports up to 3 distance sensors per project.

Waterproof Distance Measure Distances Between the Sensor and the Top Water Level (note: requires a minimum of 30cm to operate)

For hydroponics, a reservoir is critical for the system. Use of a waterproof sensor mounted above the water (so it never touches the nutrient solution) provides a means to do a multitude of tasks. It can automate accurate recording of water consumption by the plants (based on water level changes), trigger (or alert you) as to when to add water (which can also be automated if you use an electric water valve linked to the control box), notify you of problems if you have an Ebb & Flow system that is no longer "Flowing" because the pump stopped working. Again, since you create the rules, there is no reason to be limited to just these particular applications. The Grow Room supports up to 3 distance sensors per project.

Current Measure Amount of Current Being Used Through The Grow Room's Control Boxes

Measuring the amount of current being used can provide information for cost analysis, efficiency analysis and component failure notification. The Grow Room supports up to 12 Current sensors per project.

Water/Fluid Flow Measure Water/Fluid Flow Through Sensor

Measuring the amount of water/fluid flowing through a particular hose can be used to make sure critical water pumps are working and working as expected. Obstructions in the water flow (from roots for example) can impeded water flow to the point of damaging plants. Water flow reduction past a certain acceptable level can be addressed before it becomes serious. May also point out failing pumps that have not yet completely failed. The Grow Room supports up to 2 Water/Fluid Flow sensors per project.
